Carlshamn Flaggpunch (Classic)

This punch comes from a place in Sweden calls Karlshamn. You can drink it as avec or flavour it with different kinds of desserts. It could also be used as a kind of spice for cooking. It is nice to serve it with Swedish pea soup, although it should be heated to approximately 40 Celsius degrees. The taste is sweet with characteristics of arrack. Cooled is served to tasteful desserts and heated dry Flaggpunsch is served to Swedish pea soup. The punch in itself is a typical Swedish product and is deeply rooted into the culture of Sweden. During the period of 1700 to the middle of 1900 the average Swede drank 15 times more punch than it is in today’s society.

This punch has taste of marzipan and arrack. The scent is the same, full of arrack and marzipan. It could be served cooled to ice-cream or heated to Swedish pea soup. The cost at Systembolaget is 130 kr for 500 ml and has the number 589.

 

Cederlunds Caloric

The Winery Cederlunds started this label during the 1800. It has grown to be one of the most popular and famous punch labels around the world. It has sweetness and great taste of arrack. The scent gives away that it is dry, with a neutral character of arrack. As all of them it is served with 40 degrees Celsius to Swedish pea soup or cooled for avec.

Grönstedts Blå

Grönstedts Blå is a pretty strong, rich and sweet punch with some small taste of caramel. The distribution and selling of the product started already in 1834 on J.D. Grönstedts favourite place, Stiernan, in the Old Town of Stockholm, Sweden. The taste is full of arrack and sweet. The scent gives away power and richness. It also provides strong smell of arrack. It is served with 40 degrees Celsius to Swedish pea soup and cooled to drinks as avec.
