Liqueur

Liqueur is usually and traditionally served in high necked glasses. However it is served best in whisky or cognac glasses. Herb liqueurs are served best at a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius. Fruit liqueur should be colder and is most fitted with 8-10 degrees Celsius. Each liqueur is consisted of at least one base of alcohol. It is important to distinguish the alcohol, if wanted, to take away some of the sweetness. For instance, a Drambuie feels much better and fresher with a small notch of whisky in it. Or, with a Grand Marnier fits very much with a little bit of Cognac.
Since liqueur is so sweet, it is no necessity to complement sweetness like chocolate to it. However a strong and bitter cigar is well recommended. Also, a cup of bitter, dark and smoky coffee is a perfect combination for a nice aged liqueur like Grand Marnier. Many women prefer a fine liqueur meanwhile the men prefer cognac or whisky. That is why some say that liqueur is a womans drink and only 'wimps' prefers it. Though, in our sense it is only people that do not posses enough knowledge about alcohol that provides such statement.
