Armagnac de Montal VSOP
Grade: 4 (recommended - great value)


This armagnac has grown from childhood into adolescence.

Its colour becomes deeper and the tannin from the woods not being wholly oxidized, there results vigorous armagnacs and the fruity aromas very pleasant; lush, golden amber tone, perfect purity; vinuous, woodsy, earthy, waxy coconut-like aromas are keenly pronounced; assertive aromatic melange and caramelly mid palate.

Highland Park 16 years Single Malt (Orkney, Scottland)

Grade: 4,5 (highly recommended)


Highland Park was recently named 'Best spirit in the world' by whisky expert Paul Pacult in his 2005, Spirit Journal 100 listing of the world's best 100 distilled spirits.

Natural, bright and clear colour with sherried smoke piet and spicy tones. The taste is rich, full bodied, smokey and heather honey. It ends with a rich, long medium sweet to medium dry finish.

Courvoisier Napoleon
Grade: 4,5 (highly recommended)


They have been in Jarnac since 1790 and label itself as the favourable cognac of Napoleon. It used to be one of the biggest houses in the world.
6 different qualities: VS, VSOP Fine Champagne, Napoléon, Fina Champagne, XO, Initiale Extra.

The Cognac is delicate and subtle bouquet with hints of cigar box, prune, liquorice hazelnut, old port wine, ginger bead and orange blossom. It is full bodied and mellow with a long fine finish.

Lagavulin 16 years Single Malt (Islay, Skottland)
Grade: 5 (highly recommended)


It is from the islands of Islay and is owned by the United distillers. It established in 1816 and claims to be one of the oldest one in Scotland. The Distillery Today it is recognized to be one of the best whisky brands around the world.

It tastes firstly quite dry, however after it becomes more intense. The finish gives away that the whisky probably stored in sherry barrels. Lagavulin is not as strong or powerful as its neighbour Laphroaig however it is called Islays aristocracy for its wonderful balance and exceptional aftertaste.
